Announced early Wednesday morning, Rory and JT will start at the HSBC Championship in Abu Dhabi.
What a perfect video to announce this super-star pairing. Rory and JT’s match at the last Ryder Cup came down to the 18th hole, when Rory drove it in trouble and pretty much played himself right out of it.
Rory McIlory has an insane record at this event. 11 appearances have yielded 4 runner up finishes, and 4 3rd place finishes. Justin Thomas will be making his first start at the tournament.
